One never knows when a gift will arrive. I’d practiced yoga for over 20 years before I had my first Svaroopa® Yoga class. Little did I know that it would be the beginning of a tremendous transformational process. In my first class I had a profound and deep opening. How paradoxical – how could these poses be so relatively easy and the yet so powerful. I experienced more ease in my body, a sense of bliss, and deeper awareness of Self.

My longing to experience and know more about this transformative process lead me to become a Certified Svaroopa® Yoga Teacher. I found that Svaroopa® Yoga enriched my professional life – my practice of psychotherapy, biofeedback, teaching, and coaching leadership. As an advanced practice nurse psychotherapist with a Master Degree in Nursing and a PhD in Human Development, I’ve spent my life supporting and challenging the forces of healing, resilience and self regulation. In turn, my professional practices add depth to my understanding of the body, mind and inner landscape of Self.

I am a graduate of Master Yoga where I studied with Swami Nirmalananda (formerly Rama Berch) the originator of Svaroopa® Yoga and I am a Certified Svaroopa Yoga Teacher, CSYT 700, and RYT 500 through Yoga Alliance.

I continue to develop my yoga teaching skills, as well as, my knowledge of yoga philosophy and sutras. In December 2009, I was able to study in India with Swami Nirmalananda. I’ve added a glimpse of that experience for you…
